The visuals and combat are looking great, but Silva still has a story to tell with the sequel as well. Vampire Smile doesn't just look good for 'an indie game,' it looks good. Combine this with combat that Silva hopes will be more fluid than the original - I myself haven't played the first enough to judge how successful he's been so far - and Vampire Smile could easily end up being the refined, beautiful XBLA game everyone wanted the first to be. A completely new engine and redone art make it eye catching, while the enhanced gore effects makes felling each enemy very satisfying. In a time when more and more franchises become yearly iterations that recycle engines and don't bother to refine anything, Vampire Smile stands out because of the effort put into it.
